One Okotoks business received some high praise at the Alberta Business Awards last weekend.

Integrity Post Structures & owner Jerry Myer took home the Young Entrepreneur Award of Distinction.

The 34 year old says he's been through just about everything when he first started the company in 2008.

"What was considered a really old industry mostly based on agricultural buildings and farm shops, we've now turned this company and this industry into a business where we're competing in a lot of the commercial, residential and heavy industrial industries," he says.

Since its inception Integrity Post Structures has designed any thing from airplane hangars to riding arenas all across Western Canada.

Despite the company's massive growth of staff in their Okotoks office to over 160 employees out in the field building their products, Myer says they still stick to their humble beginnings when dealing with customer service.

"It's ran like a small business or mom and pop business where you're really looking after every single sale and every customer relation we try our best to put integrity into every single conversation or every single sale."

Myer says to achieve as much as they have in the Foothills is a blessing in disguise.

"Okotoks itself is probably one of the most amazing places to run a business and grow a business and have a family in the community. It's very supportive of our business from the members of the Town to the people that come in and support our business on a day to day basis."

Integrity Building Products has the chance to take home even more awards this year with the Calgary Home Building Industry's Sales and Marketing (SAM) awards later this year.
