Construction on the Laurie Boyd bridge is picking up again this week as crews are starting preparations for next week's installation.

On Monday at 10 p.m. they'll be hauling in the new bridge using the road near the Lions Campground.

This means residents in that area can expect a bit of construction noise and activity around that time.

The current bridge and pathway area will be closed during construction hours.

The Town has stated that, with the exception of the short closures, the existing bridge will remain in service until the new one is fully operational.
