A pair of school sites are in the cards for the Spitzee Crossing development in High River.

The development's in the north west part of the town and Foothills School Division is currently working with the developers to nail down a school site.

Drew Chipman, assistant superintendent for FSD, says a shared school site with Christ the Redeemer School Division is being discussed.

"It's certainly a possibility. Right now I think it shows two separate sites but we'd certainly like to look at possibly one site closer to some of the amenities they're planning for that side of town."

According to Chipman a shared school site could mean a number of things.

"Currently we're talking about sharing some of the driveways, maybe some of the parking, some of the play spaces. It is to really utilize transportation systems, parking systems, the whole benefit of sharing grounds and that sort of thing so it's not necessarily one or the other but there's a lot of synergies."

There's currently no timeline on the projects.
