The Holy Trinity Academy is putting on their bi-annual musical Thurs 17th and this year they will perform Stephen Schwartz's Pippin.

The play will focus on Prince Pippin and his journey through obstacles to find fulfillment in life.

Students and staff have been working on the play since October, H.T.A. Drama teacher Wendy Doerkson says productions like this break down walls in the school.

"It's a really big deal for our school because our Fine Arts program has grown so much," she says. "We include students throughout the entire school, we have a student who is a wrestler, we have football players in the musical, we get all different athletics involved. Students who don't even participate in fine arts classes audition"

The show includes grades 10-12, and Doerkson says these productions are an important part of the school's community and identity.

"Everybody comes together, its a big deal for our school. Our departments have really increased in numbers because of our shows, I think people really look forward to our next one. Students also get excited to know if they're going to be still in school for the next one and they plan ahead"

The show will run from March 17th to 19th.
