The Okotoks tourism video that was released at the end of October continues to catch the eyes of many.

The Town of Okotoks released a 30 second tourism video that aired during the Pinty's Grand Slam Curling WFG Masters and it helped bring more that just the curling event to town.

Economic development specialist, Alexandra Ross, says the video has helped put Okotoks in the spotlight.

"We provided Sportsnet with a 30 second video to be shown during the commercial break and the event was broadcast nationally and from what we understand internationally as well...So it will definitely put Okotoks on the map again...it showcases the things to do, the look, the feel, the quality of life.. and it entices people to visit Okotoks and explore our town further."

Views have been racked in since the air date of the tourism clip and Ross says the town is ecstatic with the outcome.

"Since the release of the video on October 28th it already has been viewed 15,000 times, we are absolutely stoked about that result."

With such positive results of the tourism video another two and a half minute video has been produced and will be released in April along with the new visitors guide.
