The 2016 Okotoks Show N' Shine went off without a hitch on Sunday.

Macdonald's 1923 Tbucket

The event had a record-breaking number of entries, with 460 cars on display.

Marty Macdonald had his 1923 T bucket in the show and won best Rat Rod. Macdonald says he originally got into cars by racing.

"Stock racing ended up getting too expensive and from there I got into hot rods."

Macdonald explains that he wanted to make his car unique.

"The colour is different than everyone else's car and I made it that way to make sure it was different."

Macdonald says that this year's show was a great experience and Community Events Coordinator Mark Doherty agrees, saying the work people put into these cars is phenomenal.

"There is such a variety of vehicles and everyone can relate to a car in some way shape or form."

Doherty adds that you can always take something away from an event to make next years better but this year's was the ideal event.
