Okotoks RCMP have recovered a stolen truck and trailer.

On Monday around 11:50 p.m. police responded to a call of a stolen truck and trailer just outside of town near Highway 552.

The trailer had over $50,000 of lawn care equipment and had been emptied at another property near 112 Street east of Okotoks and the truck was stolen from an industrial yard in town where it had been driven through a fenced gate.

The trailer and its contents have since been returned to the rightful owner.

Police were able to locate the lone male driver of the stolen vehicle at a rural home where he was arrested for possession of stolen property.

RCMP say Tanner Moeskau, 24, of Okotoks has been charged with several offences including break and enter to a business, possession of stolen property over $5,000, failing to comply with his probation order, failing to comply with his recognizance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license.
