The Town of Okotoks is looking for residents to give them feedback on the universal recycling program and Eco Centre.

An online survey has been created so residents can let Waste Services know what they think of their programs and voice their satisfaction.

Paul Lyons, waste services manager, says the Town wants to be able to build on what they're currently doing.

"In order to do that we have to understand further what residents really require of us to make this program even more successful than it currently is," he explains. "The target for us remains at 80% diversion from the landfill and that is why this survey will help us to enhance this program."

Lyons adds it's important they also hear from those who don't use the universal cart program or Eco Centre.

"We also need to understand why it is they are not. If it's cost then we'd love to know, also what challenges they currently face so that we'll be able to work with them in order to ensure that all the programs and services we're offering do meet the needs of all residents."
