The Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club is looking to get residents into the holiday spirit.

The Dawgs will host its fourth annual Holiday Hoopla event at Duvernay Fieldhouse this Saturday, Nov. 25.

Angie Cox, Special Events and Community Relations for the Okotoks Dawgs, says the event is a way to say thank you to all the local fans.

"This is an event that we do for Okotoks, the Foothills and surrounding communities, as a way to say thanks. They're so supportive of us throughout the season, and this is our way to give back to them."

Most Okotokians are already familiar with Seaman Stadium, and Cox says the Dawgs are excited to show off another one of their facilities.

"We're lucky to have this great facility and our Dawgs Academy players are here year round, so the facility gets used on a daily basis. We have this facility and it's just a great way to bring the community indoors, and show them a little bit of our practice space."

The free event will include crafts, games, face painting, live music, and inflatables for kids of all ages to play on.

Cox says there will also be a special visitor coming to the Fieldhouse.

"Santa will be here to see the kids, for those kids who might be a little shy and don't want to sit on Santa's lap or chat with him, we have Santa';a mail box so they can write a letter and put that in there for him."

The Dawgs are also encouraging attendees to bring a donation to the Okotoks Food Bank.

The Holiday Hoopla will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
