After traveling through 38 countries in every continent, an Okotoks couple is about to see what makes Canada so special.

Residents Carla Sosa, and Matt Bailey are about to embark on a 5 month trip to all 13 provinces and territories, to create a multi media documentary for Canada's 150th Birthday for MUST DO CANADA.

Documentary creator Carla Sosa says the inspiration for the documentary came from personal experiences.

"We've traveled so much around the world, and when Matt mentions that he's Canadian he always feels that people are so welcoming to him, they like Canadians," she says. "For me because I'm an immigrant in Canada and since the very first day I came for school I found that its such a welcoming country. I think its hard to find another place on earth that doesn't matter where you're from, or the colour of your skin people really welcome you and you feel accepted."

Documentary creator Matt Bailey shares the web series and documentary will feature a variety of outlooks on Canadian life.

"The main reason was to find out what makes Canada so special, so we want to go around to each province and territory, interview a wide range of people, urban, rural folks, immigrants and refugees, and even celebrities and ask them what they think makes the country special."

Sosa shares there will be a large amount of social media activity throughout the creation of the documentary, and would love for locals to interact with them

"We'd like people to engage with us through social media, because we'll be asking what locals recommend to see, we want more than just the landmarks or the landscapes of each province we want people, because people make the place special."

The couple will embark on their journey May 15 in Newfoundland, to follow along click here.
