The Okotoks and District Chamber of Commerce has officially welcomed a new executive director.

Jayme Hall, former program director and morning show host of Eagle 100.9, will be filling the role.

Hall first began his career in radio in 2011 and joined the team at Eagle 100.9 and Okotoks Online in June 2013. He was then promoted to Program Director in 2015 where over the last few years he's been in charge of on-air and news staff, working closely with sales staff, organizing promotions, and has served an active role in the community by volunteering, emceeing and helping to organize multiple events.

Hall says the skill set he acquired during his time at the Eagle will help him transition into his new role.

"Events planning and organization, a lot of networking which I've done a lot of in my past job, always promoting the Eagle and in turn the Town of Okotoks and I think that a lot of those skills I posses in networking and promoting Okotoks are going to carry over."

Hall has attended several Chamber talks, lunches, and candidate forums and has also emceed multiple events for the organization.

He says he's excited to look into new initiatives for the business community.

"I'm looking forward to taking this amazing membership we have with the Okotoks Chamber of Commerce, listening to what their wants and needs are and communicating that to the Board of Directors and executing different events, activities, speakers, things like that, to help the Chamber continue to be a great organization here in Okotoks."

Hall adds he loves how energetic the business community is in Okotoks and how the Chamber provides them with a platform for further education and allowing businesses to get to know each other.
