The M.D. of Foothills is currently under a thunderstorm watch.

Environment Canada states that conditions are favourable for a severe storm that could be capable of producing large hail, heavy rain and damaging winds.

Thunderstorm watches may expand to the south and east this afternoon as storms develop.
