A Nanton boy and his family are over the moon happy to have him home recovering from an accident after the Round-Up Days Parade.

Sawyer Comstock was flown by STARS to Calgary after he fell off a float and was then run over by it on Monday and was already home on Tuesday, August 8.

His dad J.R. posted the following message on Facebook:

Yesterday was an experience that we pray our friends and family will never have to experience. Our Sawyer was in an accident and flown by STARS air rescue to the hospital.

TODAY, we are on our way home with Sawyer. He had amazing people working on him and with him We are so Amazingly happy to have our little man with us. There are truly no words to describe the relief and gratitude we feel that he came through this with minimal injuries.

We know people are wondering about him and we are thankful that Sawyer came out of this terrible accident with a very tiny fracture in his hip, bruised lungs and some bruises and scrapes.

We are the luckiest family in the world because we still get to tuck Sawyer in and watch him grow into a man.

From here, we would like to thank all of our family and friends for your support and love. We truly believe that your prayers helped our strong, courageous little boy through this. Nanton, it is with out a doubt that you truly are the greatest community.

We would also like to thank John Dozeman and his amazing team for being first on the scene. You helped us all keep calm and ensured Sawyer was given the best possible care.

We thank the ambulance drivers who took such care and caution getting Sawyer to meet the Stars team.

Thank you to the crew from STARS for your expertise and care of Sawyer for his journey to the Children's hospital. You have always had a special place in our hearts and will forever.

Last but certainly not least, a huge thank you to the staff at the Children's hospital. Your care and compassion for children and their families in dire times is nothing short of amazing.

Thank you for saving our son

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all. And our happy to celebrate Sawyer's home coming in such a short time.

God bless you all.
