It took a little while, but the long arm of the law caught up with a 33 year old Medicine Hat man who's facing a long list of charges following a string of break and enters and vehicle thefts in the High River area last month.

Back on February 12, High River Mounties were called out to a complaint of a robbery with a weapon at a home just outside of town.

In that case they say the victim had their vehicle stolen after a man burst into the home.

RCMP gave chase, thanks to the public continually giving updates on the suspects location and movements.

At the height of the chase the suspect crashed the first stolen car in High River.

Mounties say he then broke into another home, stealing another car, and managed to make his escape thanks to thick fog in the area that day.

Police, through their investigation managed to track the man down and arrest him.

He's facing two counts of break and enter, two counts of robbery, one count of forcible confinement and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

The suspect remains in custody.
