Around a hundred people turned out in Vulcan Thursday night to take part in the fifth candidates debate in the new riding of Bow River.

The debate centred on economic issues as well as question around natives and aboriginal rights, cyber security, immigration and aviation.

"Rachel" says while the debate was good and gave her much to think about, it didn't do much to help her figure out where to park her vote.

"As a matter of fact I'm think I'm more confused than I was earlier. I think we had some very articulate candidates and they presented their vision very well. That was very good."

Surprisingly agriculture was not as big a topic of discussion as many would have thought.

However Kevin Oak, a farmer from Carmangay did have questions for the candidates about the newly signed Trans-Pacific Partnership.

However he says the answer of at least one candidate didn't sit well.

"Agriculture is a big part of this constituency. So, I was a little disappointed that the NDP Candidate would defer to the manufacturing sector. That's an important part of Canada, but I don't think we should be sacrificing agriculture to bolster another sector that's not even in this riding to the degree agriculture is."

Most left the debate with their questions answered, but many say they need to do more research on who they'll vote for before election day.

Advance polls open Friday across the country and will be open through Sunday.

The general election goes Monday, October 19.
