While students and teachers are away work will still be going on at schools in the Foothills Division.

Superintendent John Bailey says most of the major work is in Okotoks, with the Foothills Composite High School Modernization and planning for the new school in the northeast on 32 Avenue, but there's still some work in High River as well.

"You know, finishing off a little bit of flood mitigation work in several of our schools in High River, so that funding came through and so we're getting that work done this summer," Bailey says.

He says there also a couple of portables headed to the division to help spread out the students.

One is headed to High River's Spitzee School.
