Whether participants sign up as a "bunner" or a runner, the 6th Annual Millarville Run to the Farmer's Market is sure to be a good time.

There's different options for all abilities including the half marathon, relay, and Cob's cinnamon bun run.

Rick Charlton, race director, says the bun run is a "sweet" option.

"What happens with the Cob's cinnamon bun run 8 mile is that you're registered as a 'bunner', someone who's going to be stopping twice along the way at one of our cinnamon bun stations, and you're going to eat a cinnamon bun at each station and you're going to run to the finish line hopefully with plenty of gas to spare."

In the past Cob's has brought about 1,500 cinnamon buns to the event.

Charlton says the event has a picturesque route.

"Our half marathon is the signature event that gets primarily the most competitors, it's a very beautiful course running through the Turner Valley Golf Course area up into Turner Valley then along the Friendship Pathway between Turner Valley and Black Diamond, then Race Track Road finally to the Millarville Farmer's Market."

All of the events start in Black Diamond at Oilfields Arena and finish at the 35th Annual Opening of the Millarville Farmer's Market.

The Millarville Run to the Farmer's Market takes place June 17.
