While it's technically still fall, the Town of Okotoks is looking ahead to it's winter and spring programming in the new year.

The Town released its Winter and Spring 2016 program guide this week.

Donna Raccette, client services manager for the Town, says there's a few programs that fill up quicker than others.

"Definitely our preschool and children's swim lessons on the weekends... sometimes they can fill up on the first day so if that's a residents only option that fits into their schedule then we encourage them to get online and be there at 6 a.m. to register."

She adds there's a wide variety of programs to suit all interests and all ages.

Raccette says priority is given to Okotoks and MD of Foothills residents.

"Our January to June registration session for Town of Okotoks and MD of Foothills residents starts Thurs., Dec. 10 at 6 a.m." she says. "For non Town of Okotoks or MD of Foothills residents it starts Sun., Dec. 13 at 9 a.m."

There's multiple ways to register. It can be done in person at the Okotoks Recreation Centre, by phoning (403) 938-8954, or online at netreg.okotoks.ca and the Town of Okotoks website.
