The number of COVID-19 cases in the High River Zone continues to climb.

There are 19 active cases in the High River area now, which includes Nanton, Cayley and parts of Foothills County, up from 17 the day before.

Okotoks has one more case, bringing their active case total to five.

Numbers in Black Diamond, Claresholm and Vulcan remain unchanged.

Overall, there were 113 new active cases reported by AHS in their update, Thursday, July 30.

However, five more people, all in Edmonton died, bringing the total number of deaths to 195.

There is one piece of good news as Alberta's number of active cases is down overall to 1,403 thanks to increased recoveries.

The Province has also expanded their list of pharmacies now offering COVID testing for asymptomatic individuals.

There are four spots to get tested in the Foothills.

The Shoppers Drug Mart on Southridge Drive in Okotoks, the Shopper's Drug Mart on 3rd Ave in High River along with the CO-OP Pharmacy and the Pharmasave in Black Diamond.
