The Okotoks and District Chamber of Commerce rolled out the red carpet for local businesses Thursday night.

The annual Business Excellence Awards took place at the Foothills Centennial Centre where guests enjoyed a sit-down meal and awards.

Recipients of the awards included:

All Through the House- Environment Responsibility Award

Okotoks Auto Detailing- Outstanding Customer Service

United Communities- Social Profit Award

David Gilbert, Okotoks Sobeys- Business Person of the Year

Vanessa Hebb, S&J Management- Employee Relations

Peter Van Den Wildenbergh- Customer Service Award (Individual)

New Business of the Year- Rebel Bean Roasters

Eagle 100.9 and Golden West Broadcasting- Business of the Year (Over Seven Employees)

Wild Rose Jewellry & Gifts- Business of the Year (Under Seven Employees)

Judges for the awards were Steven Muth, president of the High River Chamber of Commerce, Sean Ballard, chair of the Alberta Chamber of Commerce, and Tanya Thorn, councillor with the Town of Okotoks.
