Lineham House Gallery is offering a warm escape from chilly temperatures with its newest exhibit.

The fall and winter exhibit, called 'Gathering In', opened Saturday, October 20 and features the work of 13 area artists.

Lineham House Gallery co-owner Cheryl Taylor says the show is inspired by the themes of the season.

"Gathering In is our fall and winter group art show that is inspired by the harvest, inspired by ideas right around our area within the 100 kilometre limit of Okotoks," she explains. "Some people have gone a bit broader than that, but you're sure to find a lot of wonderful fall and winter-themed subject matter."

Taylor says the exhibit features a variety of artistic styles and they are excited to showcase the talents of local artists.

"We've got so many wonderful artists that live in this area," Taylor points out. "And we happen to be fortunate enough to have 13 really amazing technically-skilled artists that have a love for the subject matter that we wanted to put forward. If you're looking for just a small showcase of what the best of the best is in the area, then definitely come down."

'Gathering In' will be featured at the Lineham House Gallery on Elma Street until mid-January.
