The paint on the roads in Okotoks and High River will be looking a lot fresher soon.

Volker Stevin crews will be spending a half day in each of the towns line painting beginning in High River this morning.

Dianna Smith, Line Painter with Volker Stevin, says they'll be out on any street in the two towns that have lines on them.

She encourages motorists to be patient and courteous to crews working.

"Be very cautious of the wet lines, because they will be wet for quite a while after we paint them. Just to give the crash truck and paint truck room to stop and back up."

Smith shares line painting will wrap up at the end of the day, weather dependant.
