It's been a jammed pack weekend at Guy Weadick days with pro rodeo and the WPCA chuckwagon races at the Ag Grounds in High River.

Organizer Trish Seitz with C5 Rodeo says the whole weekend has been special and is turning out to be very successful.

"Between the two performances and slack we saw multiple world champions go in barrel racing, team roping and saddle bronc riding," said Seitz. "And we have seen C5 stock perform. We are thrilled with the weather. We are so happy to be able to bring pro rodeo here and show the people of High River the level of pro rodeo contestants and the quality they bring."

On the final day, June 25th, two contestants to watch out for are bull rider Scott Schiffner and a young man from Nanton.

"Young up and coming young Jake Burwash who is from right here west of Nanton. He's going toe-to-toe in the saddle bronc. We are thrilled to see him here at the pro level."

Their special events like the dress western contest Friday night, and Today's Family Fun Day, sponsored by Sun Country, have added to the success.

The rodeo gets underway today at 1 p.m. and the chuckwagon races at 4 p.m.
