One local lady took it all off Saturday morning in hopes of raising money for two important organizations close to her.

Cathy Clancy first dyed her hair pink then shaved, all part of the 'Hair Massacure' which supports children with life threatening illnesses.

She says it was an easy choice to shave her head.

"I saw that the proceeds were both going to the Children's Miracle Wish Foundation and Ronald McDonald House and I thought you know I have no money I can't really donate that but I do have hair and can go pink and shave it off for the cause and hopefully raise some money," she says.

Clancy says she's had a few comments about her pink hair before and after the shave.

"It was actually pretty funny when I first went pink a lot of people actually complimented me on the colour. They say 'It really makes your eyes pop' and now that I'm shaved off I'm thinking it will be easier because I don't have to wash my hair so I can just have to wash my head."

"However much I can do, I want to do. They say that every dollar makes a difference and I think it's a good cause and I believe in it strongly."

Clancy is hoping to raise $500 for Hair Massacure and she's already half-way there.
