It Takes A Village Okotoks is bringing some magic to town this weekend.

They're hosting their first annual Children's Show Fundraiser and Silent Auction featuring children's Magician Christopher Cool this Saturday, March 10,

Rachel Sweinseid, President of It Takes A Village Okotoks, says they're hoping to raise between $1,000 and $5,000 at the event.

"It will be an opportunity for families to come out with their kids, it's an all-ages show. There's going to be a children's magician, zumba kids, kinder music and face painting all fundraising for programs and services for our organization."

She says there will also be a silent auction with plenty to bid on thanks to supporters of the event.

"We have been so grateful that we have amazing silent auction items people have donated, so that'll help with the fundraising, we have some incredible sponsors that sponsored the event."

Sweinseid says ITAV has been keeping very busy since moving into their new office space last summer, adding they're finally getting used to the space.

"More families are coming in and choosing the items they need for their families, and we have resources there now to help support the family's access to other organizations in the foothills. We are also still really busy with our crib and car seats program."

Tickets to the Children's Show Fundraiser and Silent Auction are $15 per family, and can be purchased at the door of the Okotoks Rec Centre gym from 12 to 4 p.m.

"You can bring kiddos of any age, the whole family can come, we hope to see everyone there!"

It Takes A Village Okotoks provides baby care items and support to families facing hardships in the Foothills.
