The 14th Annual High River Classics show and shine goes Sunday, September 25.

Organizer Ted Dawson says they've added couple of special events for Saturday this year.

"This year Roger Hamill and a group of the fellas have put together a "Burn Out" contest on Saturday night. Centre Street will be closed between 7th and 12th Avenues around 4 o'clock. The contest will run from 6 to 8 P.M."

Dawson says they get started early Sunday morning with the car show proper.

"Registration is from 7 until 10 A.M. The Lions Club has stepped up again, this year. They'll going to be there early with us getting breakfast ready. So 8 o'clock you can come down for breakfast and watch the cars roll in."

Dawson says he's expecting about 12 hundred cars again this year, which will be spread throughout downtown High River and into George Lane Park.

He says the Town's done an amazing job of getting the road work done, which will allow the show to use those downtown streets which have been under various stages of repair all year.

As for the show Dawson says it's not just all the awesome classic cars and trucks that'll be on display, but they'll have a pretty big vendors area this year too.

"We have about 55 vendors this year. Everything from automobile memorabilia, to auto parts, to all kinds of food vendors. So, don't bother cooking Sunday dinner you can just come down, wander around, look at all the cars, load up and have a great day!"

The Show and Shine starts at 7 Sunday morning with registration and breakfast, with the show itself going from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M.
