It's a night of fine arts at Holy Trinity Academy this evening, as the school hosts an Art Show along with the continuation of the Short Play Festival which began yesterday.

The Art show features work Grade 10, 11 and 12 students have created over the semester, each grade level was expected to submit a different amount of pieces to the show.

Grade 10 art students were required to submit one piece, Grade 11 students had to put in two, and Grade 12 students were required to have entered three.

Sarah Johnson, Art Instructor at HTA, says the only theme to the show is letting creativity bloom.

"We don't really have a theme, just because it's such an eclectic body of work, it's just a general theme of creativity."

Johnson shares the evening is a celebration of growth for her students, some of which she has taught since tenth grade,

"It makes me so proud every time, seeing how far they've come, and watching them taking pride in what they've done."

She adds visitors can expect to see everything from pencil drawings, acrylic and water paintings, prints, and even sculptures.

The Art Show begins at 6 p.m. in the library at HTA, and is followed by the Short Play Festival at 7 p.m.

Wednesday will feature a Pops Concert at 7:30 p.m.
