With Christmas coming and going as fast as it arrives, it will be time to get rid of all that wrapping paper and boxes all the presents came in and properly dispose of them.

The Town of Okotoks has updated their waste and recycling schedule for the holiday season.

Monday and Friday users will get their pick-up on Monday December 28th, while regular collections will come on the 29th, 30th and 31st.

All carts must be placed at the end of the curb by 7 a.m. on the proper days.

There will be no pick-ups on New Year's day.

If you have a surplus of recycable materials, you're asked to take them to the Recycling Centre in town, it will be open on December 27th, January 2nd and 3rd when pick-ups aren't available and will also be open during the dates listed for holiday pick-ups.

If you can't make it the centre there are Town recycling bins in the Walmart parking lot that are open 24/7 as well.
