Our High River is hosting a community summit next week.

Jodi Dawson, with the group, says anyone who's interested can come out and help move the community forward.

And while the summit will be held over three days, participants can take part in all or part of the sessions.

"Wednesday night is more of our facilitator Bob (Stilger) story telling, telling us what he's learned in his four decades of work around the world," she says. "That will be more hearing his expertise and hearing what he has to offer."

Stilger, from NewStories in Spokane, has worked with communities all over the world including helping cities in Japan come back from disasters..

On Thursday and Friday she says they'll be digging into what matter now to High River without looking back both individually and collectively.

"Thursday evening we'll expand that conversation and add some voices that weren't available during the day time," Dawson says. "We'll also move into 'what does it look like to take action in High River."

She says she's sent out invitations to as many people as she knows who are leading action in the town and to share what they have learned.

The sessions are free and will be held Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday at the Highwood Golf and Country Club.
