The Salvation Army Band played Oh Canada at the High River Flyers home game against Mountainview last night, November 18, and kicked off their Christmas Kettle campaign too.

Lieutenant Kelly Fifield says they have a big target this year."It's our only major fundraiser that we actually run during the year and all the money that's raised throughout the Kettle Campaign stays locally throughout the Foothills."

She says the money raised in the foothills stays in the foothills and adds the money goes to help run their emergency financial and the food bank programs.

"Our goal this year is a hundred thousand dollars and it is a heavy goal but we recognize there are a lot of people in need in our area."
