A Town of High River employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

The staff member did not have contact with the public or fellow staff members through their work and the facility where this person works is not open to the public.

The Town's informing staff and providing information to anyone who may have been in close contact with this individual.

Individuals who have been in close contact with this employee will follow testing and isolation requirements as set out by the Province.

Out of an abundance of caution, the affected facility has been cleaned and sanitized.

The Town says it's also reviewing the Province's latest plans for re-openings.

Step One which begins Monday, February 8 won't have an impact on the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex and the Town will review the closure once Step Two arrives which the Province says will be at least three weeks later.
