High River will see two people go head to head for the top spot of mayor.

The incumbent Craig Snodgrass will be up against Paul Milligan for the job.

There are nine candidates up for six positions on the Town's council.

There are four incumbents in Bruce Masterman, Cathy Couey, Don Moore and Michael Nychyk.

They're joined by Jamie Kinghorn, Terry Coleman, Justin Murphy, Carol Macmillan, and Shane Tiessen.

In Black Diamond, Ruth Goodwin and Mike Ross will have their names on the ballot for mayor.

Ted Bain, Sharon Hart, Daryl Lalonde, Brian Marconi and Jackie Stickel filed nomination papers Monday.

They've been joined by Dean Anderson, Chelsey Rae Kehler and Veronica Kloiber in the race for council.

The mayor's race in Turner Valley will see incumbent Kelly Tuck face local activist Cherryle Dobbyn and former town councillor Gary Rowntree.

Plenty of names have come forward vying for a spot on Turner Valley's town council, such as Garry Raab, Lana Hamilton, Randy Williamson, Greg Pyra, Barry Crane, Curtis Dixon, Jonathon Gordon, Debra Hutton, David Tait, Cindy Holladay, Gerald Pfeil, and John Michael Waring.
