Okotokians have just over a month and half to get their property taxes in as notices were mailed out this week.

Taxes are due on June 30 without receiving late fees.

Finance & Systems Director for the Town Roland Russell says if you aren't able to pay your taxes in full before June 30 you have other payment options.

"You can contact our offices and we can set you up on a monthly withdrawal plan and you can also make payments at the municipal centre," he says.

The Town will accept numerous payment options as well.

"You can pay by cash or cheque, post dated cheques assuming the cheque is dated before June 30 on or before and also through a pre authorized payment scheme with your bank," Russell says.

Russell says if you haven't received your taxes in the mail by the end of May long weekend then you should contact the Town to make sure you get them.

"Contact the Municipal Centre and inform us that you haven't received your taxes yet and we will be able to put you in touch with the appropriate people in our office to ensure that we can provide you with a replacement."
