It'll be six long years without the Fury in the Foothills street hockey tournament as the 2018 event had to be cancelled.

After a five year hiatus, a group of ladies approached the organizers of the popular street hockey tournament to bring it back.

Unfortunately, it was already May and so the tournament, which is normally held in June, was pushed to September.

Organizer of the Fury in the Foothills, Devin Tretiak, says, "September proved to be a tough month to host the tournament. School is just starting up, we had lots of kids in AA and AAA try-outs, and a lot of our kids are from farming communities and many farming families are busy with harvest this time of year."

All is not lost though as they've decided to host the tournament in June 2019, which historically has been much easier for people to attend.
