It's been a busy summer for crews inside and outside schools in the Foothills Division.

Assistant Superintendent Drew Chipman says work is being done on two projects in Okotoks.

"The Foothills Composite modernization has been moving ahead at full speed this summer," Chipman says. "We're still pushing for that 32 street site, we've got that approval, there's just a couple of things we need to get completed so we can go to tender for that project."

He says it's a design, bid, build project meaning they'll do all the plans for it up front and go to tender for the whole package at once.

Chipman says work on the site should start next spring and it's still on course for a fall 2018 opening.

Work is also being done to expand Percey Pegler with additional portables.

In the meantime crews are working hard mowing lawns after a very wet summer to get everything ready to go at all the schools in the division.
