The Okotoks Farmer's Market has made a new addition.

This year the market is welcoming the Foothills Food Truck Frenzy which was started by Jim Charbonneau, the owner of Il Forno Vagabondo.

Charbonneau purchased his mobile wood fired pizza oven last year and says he thought it'd be a good idea to see others to get involved.

"We operated at some of the local farmer's markets in the area, High River, Okotoks, Millarville, and this year out at Okotoks I proposed that we expand it calling it the Foothills Food Truck Frenzy."

He says he hopes the Frenzy helps to bring more visitors to the market.

"We're going to probably have between four and six trucks most nights on Fridays while the market runs then we'll stay on hour later, we'll be there until 7:30. We're trying to offer it as a destination spot to come out for dinner with us on Friday nights."

The market takes place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday nights until Sept. 30.
