The M.D. of Foothills has issued a fire ban as of Friday morning.

The burning ban is in effect for all open fires, including burning barrels and fire works.

Any burning fires are to be extinguished and any open burning permits are cancelled and new permits will not be isssued till the ban is lifted.

The ban will be in effect until all areas in the M.D. receive substantial moisture and approval to lift the fire ban.
