A big celebration today for community events at the Okotoks Culture & Heritage Season launch party.

The Fall 2017 Culture Program Guide was released, a long with the Rotary Performing Arts Centre's 2017/2018 guide.

Allan Boss, Culture and Heritage Manager with the Town of Okotoks says he couldn't be more excited to launch the guides for the upcoming season.

"It's a super exciting season, we just thought today would be a good opportunity for us to let people know all the things happening around Okotoks that Culture and Heritage, and the town of Okotoks are involved with," he explains. "As well as our community partners, our stakeholders, the Dewdney Players, Goodger Pink Theatre, the Okotoks Arts Council, and the things we do to try and build community. There's a lot of free events, and a lot great events, so I'm super pumped."

Boss shares there are a number of new events and old favourites in the 2017 Fall Season Guide, and also a new way for people to get tickets to these events.

"A lot of it is linked to the RPAC because we have all sorts of concerts, plays, and other events, people are already calling us asking how to get tickets. We've partnered with a new company called Showpass at myshowpass.com, and all the tickets are live as of today, they're available online right now."

Boss adds another exciting part of the new ticket distribution website is the ability to buy season passes for the Dewdney Players.

He shares there's been many hands working behind the scenes to launch the guide, which includes everything from community events, the museum, gallery, and RPAC.
