Local businesses got the complete Disney experience Tuesday in ways to make their works stand out above others when it comes to customer service.

The Disney Institute's Approach To Quality Service Seminar was a sellout at the Okotoks Centennial Centre with plenty of Okotoks & District Chamber Of Commerce members in attendance.

Chamber member and Cobb's Bread Owner Lee Hodgins says he learned quite a bit on how to improve customer satisfaction not just with employees but owners like himself as well.

"Making sure the staff is informed, better 2-way communication, us giving them more and us receiving more back from them," he says. "Just to get that top guest experience up on higher level."

Regional Manager for the McBride Career Group Amber Chapman says there were many lesson learned in the world of customer service.

"I think what we're going to take away from this is that, What makes us stand out differently? Disney does a really good job of making themselves stand apart, so how can we now take our business and make it stand-out from others."

Overall Chapman says the day long seminar was beneficial for any business in attendance.

"It's been a lot of fun they've kept it interactive, we;ve been able to get up and move and meet with each other a little bit but then also get down to business and able to learn and take some approaches we maybe hadn't thought of before."

The event was put on by the Alberta Chamber Of Commerce and there will be two more Disney Institute events in Sherwood Park and Red Deer in the next week and a half.
