The Dewdney Players are proud to present a summer production by kids, for kids.

The 27 person cast is bringing the story of the big bad wolf to life with the 50's style adaptation The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf.

President of the Dewdney Players Ed Sands says it's a lighthearted take to entertain families.

"This play is an exploration of what would happen if the big bad wolf was brought to trial for his crimes so he's in front of the trail, in front of the judge and it's definitely not a serious thing."

Sands says the cast has a wide variety of actors.

"The kids are very enthusiastic, they range from 7-70 and it's a nice mix. In the play we have 27 people, we have 13 sort of main cast and then we have a wolf pack of 7 rowdy wolves and then we have a jury of seven ladies."

And for five bucks, Sands says, the audience will get dinner along with a show at Olde Towne Plaza.

"Bring a lawn chair, come watch the play, we are running a little BBQ there so we're going to have smokey's on a bun, chips and pop for five bucks. There is no ticketing for this so it is first come first serve and you might want to bring an umbrella for some of the warmer days predicted."
