The registration deadline for Okotoks biggest entrepreneurial youth event is almost here.

Lemonade Day is a chance for kids to learn about what it takes to run a business while they donate the profits they raise from their lemonade stands to a charity of their choice.

Julie Boake, public relations for Lemonade Day, says there's nothing specific kids needs to have in place before signing up.

"All of the information will be provided during the information session along with the mentor session. The kids will be getting a backpack that includes a book that has all the information they're going to need to run their stand so just before hand all they need to know is they're ready, willing, and able, have a plan and have some ideas for what would make a great Lemonade Day stand."

Boake says it's not too late for businesses who want to help out.

"Lemonade Day does have sponsorship opportunities for businesses in the community, there's also opportunities to be a mentor."

Lemonade Day is set to take place June 10.
