Bonnie Annicchiario has added a new title to her role on top of being Associate Superintendent of the Christ The Redeemer School Division.

She has been elected the new president of the Council of Catholic School Superintendents Association.

Annicchiario says she'll get first hand look at what all Catholic school divisions in the province are doing on a regular basis.

"It's a group of Catholic superintendents and leaders in Catholic districts that gather on a regular basis to discuss issues that are pertinent to Catholic education and to really work through being the best leaders we can be," she says.

In her fourth year with Christ The Redeemer, Annicchiario says she'll have an open mind when her first meeting with the CCSSA commence.

"To be a good listener, to really be receptive to watch emerges over the coming year. Continue to speak with one voice in Catholic education, network with our superintendents so that we have opportunities to reflect on whatever situation we might be discussing and to respond in a way that unites us and builds community."

For the past 20 years Annicchiario has been a part of school administration and is looking forward to the challenges ahead.

"It's very exciting to see what's happening in Catholic education on the provincial level and just to be really proud of the work that our teachers do and to continue to encourage them to create environments that enhance what they do and our students learning and faith development."
