It was a dream come true for a 9-year-old Okotoks hockey player last week, as Luke Vink attended Sidney Crosby's Hockey Camp In Nova Scotia.

Luke was accepted to the Hockey Camp in May, and spent July 10-14 learning, and playing with advice from the best of the best.

He says it was a busy week for him and the other attendees.

"They gave us a schedule and there were different things we had to do with out team, I was team red, and we did a lot of fun activities like ball hockey, floor ball, stick handling, and shooting on the ice."

Luke shares he learned a lot he will use in his future, like stick handling and passing properly, he also got to try new things.

"The floor ball was my favourite because it was a new sport I tried, and it was really fun."

Renee Vink, Luke's mother, says the attendees got to practice with Sidney Crosby at least once a day.

"During the day Sidney came to the middle of the ice, and we pointed to where he was standing and Luke looked around and saw him. It was kind of cool that he didn't come out and announce he was on the ice, he just kind of floated and blended in, and started playing with the kids."

She adds Luke spent quite a bit of time with the legend on ice, playing lots of three on three with Crosby by the end of the week.
