UPDATE AS OF 5:47:
The wildfire currently burning approximately 16 km south west of Bragg Creek and is still moving in a north easterly direction towards the extreme north west corner of the MD of Foothills. The fire has grown to approximately 100 hectares in size and is classified as out of control at this time.

We will have more information as it becomes available.

A wildfire is currently burning approximately 16 km west of Bragg Creek and is moving in a north easterly direction towards the extreme north west corner of the MD of Foothills.
The fire is approximately 20 hectares in size and is classified as out of control at this time. Voluntary evacuation in place for areas west of Highway #762, between Highway #22 and 178 Avenue West. 

If you are in the affected area: Prepare for possible evacuation. Take all necessary precautions. Follow the directions of local authorities. Visibility will be affected.
