FortisAlberta crews will be working along 32nd Street near the Campus Road intersection in Okotoks today and tomorrow.

Alana Antonelli, manager of corporate communications with FortisAlberta, says there won't be any planned power outages on either day as crews work on structures that will supply power to the community campus.

"They are going to be doing what's called hotline work," Antonelli explains. "And what that means is they don't have to turn off the power, they use special equipment to work on the lines while they are still energized, which is fantastic because then that means no customer disruption."

Antonelli says most of the work will take place in the ditch east of 32 Street so no impact on traffic is expected, but she reminds motorists to drive safely around crews and equipment.

The work is set to take place on March 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
