The Okotoks Art Gallery has a new exhibit starting Saturday January 9th called Crated.

Pascale Ouellet from Canmore is the artist behind Crated.

Cultural and Historical Team Leader Allan Boss says this exhibit is an exciting one.

"Pascale is super well known as a graphic designer and she has just started moving into the contemporary art work," says Boss.

Boss says that Ouellet uses different mediums to create Crated.

"Crated is a commentary on consumer Consumer Consciousness and the way that we deal with produce and the food we buy as consumers."

For the exhibit the small gallery has been transformed with the art work says Boss.

"There are a number of different type of crates and paintings of cows that when you walk into the gallery makes you feel like you are being watched," says Boss.

The exhibit runs from January 9th to February 27th.
