Candidate forums are expected for October.

Provincial referendum items on the ballots include the idea of removing equalization payments from the constitution, as well as adopting a year-round Daylight Saving Time so we would no longer have to change our clocks twice a year.

The Town of Okotoks also plans to conduct a senate election within their jurisdiction as part of the general election.

October 18 marks the official election day, with advance voting options for Oct. 8-9, 11, 13-15.
