Last night the town held a community campus information session to keep residents up to date on the project.

A number of design concepts were shared with residents at the Foothills Centennial Centre with town staff members available to answer any questions.

James Cameron, town project engineer, says as of now tenders are out and will be for the next two weeks.

"So what we are showing tonight is the design drawings that have gone out to the tender. The tender is currently out right now and its got about another two weeks on it. Once that tender expires we will award the contract to a contractor and they'll begin construction within the next couple weeks."

Cameron says the original design has been altered to deal with the Mesa Condo residents concerns.

"There were some concerns from the residents at the Mesa complex about drainage. Currently there is a bit of a drainage problem, water kind of runs into their property. So we are taking care of that by changing the way the grading works and the how the storm management is. So that major concern should be alleviated with this design."

The town was surprised with the turn out but are happy to see residents involved in what they are doing.
