Okotokians looking for a scare this weekend can do so for a good cause.

The second Hesa's Hall of Horrors opens for the weekend tonight in Westmount.

Joan Gauthier , Volunteer for the Hesa's Hall of Horrors says it's an event supporting a worthy organization.

"The haunted house is a charity event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, all the proceeds from the event will be going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society."

Gauthier says she chose to send proceeds from the haunted house to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as it is a cause very near and dear to her.

"I myself am three years cancer free from Lymphoma. I actually volunteer and run with the team in training which is part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma event, and I ended up with Lymphoma after and I just kept continuing to fund raise for them."

She says this year the Hall of Horrors has installed animatronics, and will have people dressed up called 'scarers' aimed at startling and frightening visitors.

Gauthier stresses the haunted house is not kid friendly, the event is meant for teenagers and adults.

Last year Hesa's Hall of Horrors raised $1,600 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

You can get your scare on at the Kid's Stop Children's Centre in Westmount Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
