25 years of business and 25 years worth hair can really add up quick to the Cactus Club Salon & Spa in Okotoks.

The salon celebrated their silver anniversary on Friday but it is business as usual for the dedicated staff of 35 employees.

Cactus Club Manager Sara Noyes says they've been fortunate enough to provide a great place for local stylists to show off their talents and stay close to home all these years.

"Everybody has a good quality of work and life balance between their homes and their families," she says. "We have said a million times and will keep saying we try our best to provide and pay living wages and provide a great place to work that's rewarding."

Noyes who's been on board with the salon for three plus years says there's plenty of milestones the business has gone through but it would be all for nothing without great support for the, for the past 25 years.

"It's been an evolution of business but it's all thanks to staff and to our super loyal clients who have been with us and our new clients that come as well to the success of the last 25 years."

Noyes says there is one original employee working at the spa along with a few other veteran stylists in their staff.

"Linda Lomenda is still a stylist with us, she left for a few years but came back but we still refer to her as the original and two of the other early employees are Dawn Christie and Lenore McDowell and they're going on 20 years here too."

As a token of the Cactus Club's appreciation for Christie, McDowell and Lomenda, Owner Mandy Patterson is rewarding them with a trip to Las Vegas for their dedication to the business.
